With reference to your letter of the 9th Witth

instant, No. 34598, I am commanded to acquaint you that,

in view of the terms of the Despatch, dated the 16th

ultimo, from the Officer Administering the Government

of Hong Kong, the Army Council are unable to take any

further action with regard to the application by

Ismail Khan, Hong Kong Police, to be allowed to count

his military service in the Hong Kong Regiment towards

Police pension.
